Lakeland Florida First Friday – Holiday Happenings

Are you in the Holiday Spirit yet? Throughout this year on the first Friday of every month and Friday, December 5th, 2008 the Downtown Lakeland Partnership prides itself of hosting and organizing First Friday. This monthly celebration offers a different theme each month. This family celebration of the “Dog Days of Summer“, “Back to School“, and “Art Walk” were very successful.

Opening the local newspaper or looking online for things to do in Lakeland throughout the year, I’m so impressed by Lakeland and its communities coming together and provide programs such as First Friday, Mayfaire-by-the-Lake, Lake Mirror Classic Car Show, Annual Christmas Parade or the Annual Snowfest on Saturday December 6th at the Lake Mirror Complex, just to name a few, for folks like you and me.

This month First Friday theme in Lakeland is “Holiday Happenings”. Downtown Lakeland will give shoppers the opportunity to stroll around Munn Park with its beautiful Christmas Décor while shopping and dining for gifts at various local specialty stores to find a special gift for that special someone. The Lakeland Police Department is hosting pet friendly Santa with photos. Christmas carols, entertainment and activities will surely fill your evening plans.

Hopefully the slide show below brings you in the Holiday Spirit – Enjoy the pictures!
